About EY Global Delivery Services (GDS)

EY’s Global Delivery Services is the company’s worldwide delivery network that supports EY’s client-facing teams across the globe. What began as a small team of around 200 people in 2002 has now grown into a workforce of more than 80,000 professionals spread across ten countries, including India, China, the Philippines, Poland, Hungary, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Argentina, Spain and the UK.

GDS supports EY’s core service lines — Consulting, Assurance, Tax, and Strategy & Transactions — along with enablement functions such as Finance, IT infrastructure, Risk Management, and People Shared Services. A dedicated innovation team within GDS works on analytics, digital transformation, mobile technology and emerging tech to help EY’s client and internal teams build faster and smarter.

About the Role

EY is looking to bring on board an Oracle AI Technical Consultant with roughly 1–2 years of relevant experience who can translate business needs into working technical solutions. This is a hands-on developer role focused on building and deploying AI/ML models, and on supporting EY’s wider AI-driven client engagements.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Oracle AI Developer at EY, your day-to-day work would broadly involve:

  • Building, testing and rolling out machine learning and AI models aimed at solving real business problems
  • Liaising with stakeholders to flag risks early and support project deliverables
  • Preparing technical documentation, including design specs
  • Spotting opportunities to build reusable components instead of one-off solutions
  • Diagnosing root causes of issues and proposing practical technical fixes
  • Helping refine internal processes and ways of working
  • Delivering proof-of-concept builds in collaboration with the wider team
  • Following structured development practices throughout the project lifecycle

Skills EY Is Looking For

Core technical skills:

  • Solid programming ability in Python
  • Working knowledge of ML techniques — classification, regression, clustering
  • Exposure to large language models (e.g., GPT or open-source alternatives) and prompt engineering
  • Familiarity with vector databases such as Chroma DB or FAISS
  • Comfort working with REST APIs and microservices architecture
  • Understanding of SQL/NoSQL database systems
  • Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms and statistics

Good to have (not mandatory, but a plus):

  • Exposure to Oracle AI capabilities — Oracle’s vector database features or built-in AI tools
  • Familiarity with Azure AI services and AI Foundry models
  • Prior experience in a CMMI-driven delivery environment
  • Ability to draft requirement documents and both high-level and low-level design documents
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum as well as Waterfall delivery models
  • An AI-related certification (explicitly called out as an advantage)

Soft skills:

  • Willingness to pick up new tools and technologies quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

What EY Expects From Ideal Candidates

  • At least one full end-to-end AI implementation under your belt, even with just 1–2 years of experience
  • The ability to visualize and architect solutions for fairly complex requirements
  • Practical, hands-on experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems or agentic AI workflows
  • Comfort using AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot in daily development
  • Bonus: familiarity with REST/SOAP integration patterns for backend systems such as Oracle ERP
  • A track record of converting business requirements into workable technical designs
  • Good troubleshooting instincts and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders, even in high-pressure situations

Why Join EY

EY positions this role as part of a broader investment in employee growth — access to ongoing training, mentorship pathways, and exposure to global delivery projects. The company also highlights its diversity and inclusion commitments, along with standard benefits like health coverage and learning resources, as part of its overall employee value proposition.

How to Apply

Interested candidates can apply directly through EY’s official careers portal. Shortlisted applicants are typically taken through a competency-based interview round, followed by an offer if there’s a mutual fit.

👉 Apply on the Official EY Careers Page

Tip: Tailor your resume to highlight any RAG/agentic AI project work, even academic or personal projects, since EY explicitly calls out hands-on RAG experience as a requirement — not just theoretical ML knowledge.
