• One backlog is allowed at the time of the selection process, but it must be cleared within your university’s normal timeline — not through an extended semester or supplementary course. If clearing it pushes you outside your university’s standard graduation window, you become ineligible for joining even if selected.
• Academic gaps up to 24 months (total, across your education) are acceptable, but must be declared upfront in the application. Undeclared gaps discovered later can lead to disqualification, so this isn’t a box worth leaving blank hoping it won’t come up.
• NIOS-completed 10th/12th is accepted, as long as your subsequent education was full-time — this is a genuine exception worth knowing if you’ve ruled yourself out for this reason before.
• Age must fall between 18 and 28 years at the time of application.

Shift & Work Expectations

This is a 24×7 operations environment — candidates need to be genuinely comfortable with rotational shifts, including nights, since TCS BPS supports clients across time zones. Your specific shift depends on which project you’re assigned to, which is decided after joining, not before.

How to Apply

1. Go to the TCS NextStep Portal and click “Register Now.”
2. Select category as BPS — not IT. This matters: registering under the wrong category means starting over.
3. Complete the registration form to generate your Reference ID (DT number).
4. Log back in and fill the full application form. Name and date of birth must match your Aadhaar card exactly — these fields can’t be edited later.
5. Submit the form, then click “Apply for Drive.”
6. Choose “In-centre” as your test mode and select your test centre. This cannot be changed afterward.
7. Check “Track Your Application” to confirm your status reads “Applied for Drive.”
