Educational Qualification (Post-wise)

Electrician cum Pump Operator — Contractual

Nursing Sister — Contractual
Essential: Nursing Diploma/Degree from a recognised university, with 5 years of experience, or an Ex-serviceman from the Medical Assistant trade with at least 5 years of service after training.

The fee must be paid by a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft, preferably issued by SBI, drawn in favour of “Principal, Sainik School Jhunjhunu,” payable at the SBI Collectorate Branch, Jhunjhunu (Branch Code 32040). Payment through any other method — including UPI, Indian Postal Order, cheque, or cash — will result in rejection of the application. SC/ST/OBC candidates claiming reservation or fee concession must submit a valid caste certificate in the prescribed format, valid as on 12 September 2026, or their application will be treated as incomplete and rejected.
Nature of Appointment
Regular Posts
Regular posts (PGT and TGT) carry a probation period of one year, extendable by another year on unsuccessful completion. All regular appointments, excluding General Employees, carry an All India Transferability clause. Regular staff are eligible for allowances as per Sainik Schools Society rules, including rent-free accommodation, transport allowance, dearness allowance, contributory pension under the New Pension Scheme, DCRG (Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity), medical allowance, and subsidized education at the school for up to two biological children from Class VI to XII.
Contractual Posts
Contractual engagements are for a maximum of 11 months from the date of appointment, though the Principal may terminate services at any time without assigning a reason, under his own powers. Contractual engagement may be extended up to a maximum of 3 years, subject to Sainik Schools Society policy, performance review, and institutional requirement. Contractual staff have no claim or right to appointment on a regular basis.
The school has clarified that staff of Sainik School Jhunjhunu are neither employees of the Central Government nor the State Government, despite the school functioning under the Ministry of Defence-affiliated Sainik Schools Society.
Selection Process
Only candidates shortlisted on the basis of essential qualifications will be called for a Written Exam. Skill Test and Interview (where applicable) are conducted only for candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the Written Exam, as decided by the recruitment board on the day of the exam. No TA/DA is payable to candidates for attending. Skill tests, where applicable, may include a class demonstration or practical work relevant to the post.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to report to Sainik School Jhunjhunu on the date and time published on the school website. Candidates who qualify the written test will undergo a Class Demonstration/Skill Test and Interview as applicable.
