3. Upper Age Limit

The upper age limit is calculated as of the closing date of application (17th August 2026):

  • General / EWS Candidates: Maximum 30 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: Maximum 33 years
  • SC / ST Candidates: Maximum 35 years

Selection Process

The selection process does not involve any fresh written examination. Shortlisting is done directly on the basis of GATE scores.

  1. Shortlisting based on GATE Score: Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview in a ratio of 1:5 (5 candidates per vacancy) discipline-wise and category-wise based on their GATE scores. Equal weightage is given to GATE 2024, GATE 2025, and GATE 2026.
  2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present all original academic documents, certificates, and ID proofs for verification prior to the interview.
  3. Personal Interaction / Interview: Candidates will be evaluated out of a maximum of 50 marks.
